Although most lawyers are familiar with their obligations regarding the key rules regarding legal ethics, their duty of civility and professionalism remains murky for many. In the U.S., there has been a significant push in recent years to emphasize the oath of civility and professionalism that all lawyers take and to discipline lawyers who fall short of professional behavior. This program will dive into the evolving rules regarding lawyer professionalism and their interplay with legal ethics and will highlight recent cases that address legal professionalism.
