The Economic Espionage Act, enacted in 1996, was instrumental in criminalizing industrial espionage and theft of trade secrets in the United States. This program will give viewers a thorough understanding of the Economic Espionage Act, including the elements of each offense, how courts determine what a trade secret is, potential defenses, possible issues associated with a violation of the Act, and what to expect in the future.
