Representing placing parents in an adoption case has a number of ethical traps a family law practitioner must be aware of. This program will address those key ethical issues that commonly arise in adoption cases, including conflicts of interest, fee agreements, confidentiality, lawyer-client relationships, legal advice, choice of law, and more. The speaker will give a number of practice tips to help lawyers spot ethical issues and will share stories from her own practice to illustrate how these ethical issues can arise.
