super creative way of presenting bias! thank you!

the presentation was thought provoking. Making me realize that unconscious bias is universal and not necessarily a bad thing. How this bias may effect decisions is the thought provoking aspect of the appreciation of internal bias.

I appreciated the self-evaluation based on our emotional response to various works of art. Great for insight.

The presenter, Alexandria Darraby did an excellent job of presenting art and eliciting what bias feelings that the audience might have by simply looking at the art work shown. I saw the three suites and automatically associated it with the Nazi and concentration camps. The display of the figurine was an example of Aunt Jemima pancake box and its association with slavery. The presentation was excellent! This was better than any bias test that I have ever taken.

Alexandra; I never do this. I have not felt compelled, after a MCLE presentation to write the presenter but you were amazing. I must say, it started a little slow and I was not anticipating such a response, but your juxtaposition of Bias and influential artists and art forms was incredible. You made your pint quite poignantly that Bias exists. You see art and you have a visual about it that predates your intellect and vision. Stunning. I also teach MCLE and do so in a way that stimulates and challenges individuals, in a much different way but still convincing. Your presentation challenges norms and was beautiful. I respect your choice of Art. It was amazing. I especially appreciate the Canadian prospective. Like you, I lived in a different country (France and Ireland) before taking the California Bar and the prospective that provides (much like your Canadian view) if insightful. Thank you again. It was absolutely worthwhile.
