Course Description

Length: 1h 0min    Published: 9/8/2025
The holiday season brings celebration—but also ethical risk. From law firm parties to festive client social media posts, lawyers increasingly engage online. In today’s digital marketing environment, where AI-generated imagery and deepfake content can easily blur the line between fact and fiction, lawyers must consider professional responsibility. This CLE will explore holiday hypotheticals, which could lead to violations of ABA Model Rules or state-specific ethics codes. This course provides lawyers with timely, practical guidance on how to maintain ethics in the legal profession. Lawyers will consider holiday-related social media, professional networking, and client engagement—especially when using AI tools or posting personal or firm content online. This CLE includes updates on the latest ABA Model rules and professional responsibility state legislation from jurisdictions like California, Texas, and Maryland. This course CLE combines holiday cheer with scenario-based hypothetical strategies to celebrate responsibly while protecting your license and career.
