Speaker Q&A

Question
Hi You gave a good talk and thank you. Do you use judgment lien on personal property forms? and if not why not? peter
- PeterG
Answer
I have on occasion, when the debtor has property that falls under Cal. Civ. Proc. § 697.530 (accounts receivable, inventory, etc.). However, if you know of specific, Sec. 697.530 property, you could proceed to levy it. Also, I believe you no longer need a form - you just submit through a series of questions on the Secretary of State website.
