Montana CLE Requirements

LexVid courses are accredited for CLE credit in Montana. Satisfy 5 of your 15 Montana CLE credits with LexVid's on demand courses, including ethics.

Requirements

The State Bar of Montana requires attorneys to complete 15 Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit hours every year. The 15 MT CLE hours must include:

2 hours of ethics and/or professionalism
10 credits must be live (webcast or in-person)
5 credits may be taken online with on demand programs (including the 2 required ethics credits)

Complete 5 of your 15 Montana CLE hours with LexVid's on demand courses.

Reporting

Montana attorneys self-report CLE credits by submitting the Montana Commission of CLE Credit Reporting Form, along with a certificate of completion, to cle@montanabar.org.

Carry Over Credit

Attorneys may carry over up to 30 live credits into the next two reporting periods, including up to 4 ethics credits.

Note: Attorneys must first satisfy the 15-credit annual requirement before carrying over any ethics credits.

ComplianceThe Montana CLE deadline is March 31st of each year.
