Maine CLE Requirements

LexVid courses are accredited in Maine as self-study credits. Complete 5 of your 12 Maine CLE credits through LexVid's on demand course library.

Maine Self Study CLE Provider

Requirements

Maine requires attorneys to complete 12 Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit hours every year. The 12 ME CLE hours must include:

1 hour of ethics (must be live)
1 hour of avoidance of harassment and discrimination (must be live)
No more than 5 of the 12 total credits may be earned through self-study.

Complete 5 of your 12 Maine CLE hours with LexVid’s on demand courses. Live courses will be available in November and December to help you fulfill your full requirement.

Reporting

LexVid will report your Maine CLE credits. Your credits will appear on your transcript within 30 days of completion.

Carry Over Credit

Attorneys may carry over up to 10 credits into the next reporting period; Ethics and Harassment & Discrimination credits are not eligible for carryover.

Deadlines

ComplianceMaine attorneys must complete their CLE requirement by December 31st every year.

Reporting/FilingMaine attorneys have until the last business day in February at 4:30pm EST report their CLE hours earned.
