Washington CLE Requirements

Requirements
The State Bar of Washington requires attorneys to complete 45 Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit hours every 3 years. The 45 WA CLE hours must include:
- 15 hours of law & legal procedure
- 6 hours of ethics (1 must be equity & inclusion related)
- Note: A maximum of 8 credit hours can be earned per day.
All 45 Washington MCLE credit hours can be earned online with LexVid.
Reporting
Certify your credits by February 1 following the end of your reporting period.
Log into your WSBA account and report your hours using the course number on your certificate of completion. Certificates of completion are emailed to you immediately upon course completion.
Carry Over Credit
Attorneys may carry over up to 15 credits into the next reporting period, including up to 2 Ethics credits.
