Requirements
Virginia requires attorneys to complete 12 Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) credit hours each year. The 12 VA MCLE hours must include at least:
- 2 hours of Legal Ethics or Professionalism
- 4 credit hours of Live/Interactive programming
- 1 hour of Well-Being every 3 years
All 12 Virginia MCLE credit hours can be earned online with LexVid's on demand and live courses.
Reporting
Virginia attorneys self-report their MCLE compliance using the online portal at vsb.org by December 15th 4:45pm ET.
Carry Over Credit
Attorneys may carry over up to 12 credits into the next reporting period, including up to 2 ethics credits.
