Requirements
The State Bar of Vermont requires attorneys to complete 24 Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) credit hours every 2 years. The 24 VT CLE hours must include:
- 2 hours of Ethics
- 1 hour of Attorney Wellness
- 1 hour of Diversity & Inclusion
- 12 hours must be earned via moderated programming or programming with Interactivity as a Key Component
All 24 Vermont CLE credit hours can be earned online with LexVid's on demand and live courses.
Reporting
Submit your Vermont CLE Compliance Report by July 1st. Use the details on your certificate of completion to report your hours—certificates are emailed immediately after you finish each course.
Carry Over Credit
Attorneys may carry over credits earned in the second year of their reporting period.
