Requirements

The Louisiana State Bar requires attorneys to complete 12.5 Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) credit hours every year. The 12.5 LA CLE hours must include:

1 hour of legal ethics
1 hour of professionalism
Notes:
- 2023 admits or prior to 2022: 8.5 live required; up to 4 on demand (including ethics/professionalism)
- 2022 admits: 6.5 live credits required; up to 6 on demand (including ethics/professionalism)

Reporting

LexVid will report your Louisiana CLE credits. Your credits will appear on your transcript within 30 days of completion.

Carry Over Credit
