Requirements

Connecticut requires attorneys to complete a total of 12 Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) credit hours each year. The 12 CT MCLE hours must include:

2 hours of Ethics / Professionalism

All 12 Connecticut MCLE credit hours can be earned online with LexVid.

Reporting

There is no need to report individual courses. You will certify that you have completed your MCLE for the current reporting period on you next attorney registration form.

Connecticut attorneys must keep their MCLE certificates for seven years.

Carry Over Credits

Attorneys may carry forward up to 2 credits, including ethics, into the next reporting period.

Deadline

Connecticut attorneys must complete their MCLE requirement by December 31st each year.
