Alabama's Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Requirement:
The Alabama State Bar requires attorneys to complete 12 Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit hours every year. The 12 AL CLE hours must include 1 hour of ethics/professionalism. Of those 12 hours, at least 6 must be live and up to 6 may be taken online with on-demand programs (including the required ethics credits). The Alabama State Bar requires that all hours must be earned by December 31st each year.
