North Dakota CLE Requirements

Requirements
The State Bar of North Dakota requires attorneys complete 36 Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit hours every 3 years. The 36 ND CLE hours must include:
- 3 hours of Ethics / Professional Responsibility
- At least 12 live
- 24 self-study credit hours can be earned online with on demand courses
24 of 36 North Dakota CLE credit hours can be earned online with LexVid's on demand courses.
Reporting
Report your CLE credits by July 31st. Use the North Dakota State Bar Report of Compliance form to submit your CLE. Each certificate includes the required reporting details and is emailed immediately upon course completion.

Carry Over Credit
Members who earn more than the 36-hour minimum during a three-year reporting period may carry forward up to 12 excess credits to the next period. Ethics credits are not eligible for carryover.
