New Jersey CLE Requirements

Requirements
The State Bar of New Jersey requires attorneys to complete 24 Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit hours every 2 years, including:
- 5 credits of ethics and/or professionalism
- At least 2 credit hours of the 5 credit hours in professionalism and ethics must be diversity, inclusion, and elimination of bias
- At least 12 credits through live programs
- Up to 12 credits of alternate verifiable learning formats per reporting period
All 24 New Jersey CLE credit hours can be earned online with LexVid's on demand and live courses.
Reporting
Report your CLE compliance on your Annual Registration & Billing Statement by your deadline. Each certificate lists the credits earned and is emailed immediately upon course completion.
New Jersey attorneys have up to one year after their compliance group deadline to report their compliance with their Annual Attorney Registration and Billing.
Carry Over Credit
Attorneys may carry over up to 12 credits into the next reporting period.
